Sean is dedicated to his family. Wife, Brandi, daughter Abigail and son Jessup. He is deeply involved in many family activities with his children including track, soccer, fishing, traveling and just enjoying life.

Sean is a Polk County, Florida native.   Born in Lakeland, he grew up in the real estate and construction industry. From his earliest memories he recalls his father, Robert Harper, teaching him about the real estate and land development business and inspiring him to pursue the same in the future. Robert is an accomplished force in Florida’s construction industry, he is a past President of Polk County’s Builders Association, President of the Florida Home Builder’s Association, Florida’s Home Builder of the Year and member in the Florida Home Builder’s treasured “Housing Hall of Fame”. Robert was and continues to be a great mentor to Sean. Sean spent much of his youth working in the field on development sites after school and in the summer months, learning from the ground up.

After high school, Sean attended and graduated with a degree in business administration from Baylor University in Waco Texas. During his time at Baylor he studied not only business management but also focused on business entrepreneurship. At the age of 19 he received his Florida real estate license and marketed real estate when on break from college during the summer.  Sean later became a Florida real estate licensed broker in 1998.

Sean’s love of central Florida drew him back to Lakeland after graduation. He began working at the family business, Harper Realty & Development Co. After a few years handling sales of inventory homes and home sites, he moved to the position of office manager and became a managing broker of several family owned real estate development companies. He gained a wealth of knowledge over the years handling commercial and residential contracts, site development contracts as well as creating independent contractor agreements for his real estate and development companies. This experience was the perfect catalyst for Sean to launch his construction career which he did when he formed Harper Homes in 1999.

Harper Homes has grown to be one of Polk County’s premier home building companies constructing quality homes ranging from 1700 square feet to 10,000 square feet. Sean takes pride in spending time with customers to design and customize beautiful homes to fit their personal dreams and lifestyle.  In addition to building custom homes, Harper companies developed numerous communities providing building sites for its own use as well as other home builders in the Central Florida area. Harper Homes established itself as one of Central Florida’s most respected developers and site providers. The knowledge and experience Sean gained from building custom homes and site development awarded him the opportunity and ability to upgrade his builder’s license to the Florida General Contractor license which led to the creation of a new building entity, Harper Construction Management.

Harper Construction Management has partnered with CORE Construction, a nationally recognized and highly respected company providing commercial and multi-family projects nationwide.  The combined experience of these two companies creates a synergistic force ready to deliver expertly designed, quality construction using the latest innovations in building procedures, systems and technology for any type of building project in the Central Florida market.
